02/07/07 MOLDY PEACHES...Guatemalan Handshake:
Adam Green and Kimya Dawson's band, The Moldy Peaches have songs featured in the indie flick Guatemalan Handshake! The film actually stars Will Oldham, who sings a duet with his costar, of one of the MP's songs! Check out the screenings in your area, and let's support a cool film and great music!

This Friday, February 9th, THE GUATEMALAN HANDSHAKE will begin it’s official theatrical release by opening in Seattle, WA, where it will run for a week at the Northwest Film Forum, then continue south to Portland, OR where it will screen for a week in the beautiful Hollywood Theatre. Please support these screenings by attending them yourselves, sending your church and school groups, encouraging your friends and family members to attend and helping spread the word via email and passive threats.
In order to help us book more cities, we need these screenings to be well attended!

There are plenty more screenings that will be announced in the upcoming weeks, including theatrical runs in DC, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Chicago, and more. Individual screenings in Rochester, St. Louis, State College, Idaho, Toronto and Denmark will also be announced soon. There is still a long road ahead.
Plans for the DVD release are in the works and exciting news for all of this is on the horizon.
It has been a year since we premiered this film at the Slamdance Film Festival and we appreciate all of the support and encouragement that we’ve found along the way from so many of you. Hope to see more of you in the Pacific Northwest this month.
